It’s after midnight here, but I thought I’d post this for the grandparents. Just a quickie shot, hopefully I’ll get more next week! :)

Also, since I had it on my camera, here’s a sneak peek at the garden Satori and mama have been so hard at work on. Tomorrow we add bushes and grasses.

It’s Friday and we have done crafts all morning. David is home today, which is unexpected and nice, but locked up in his office working. Satori and I have kept busy working on our crafts this week.

Here’s our finished bird nest, with unpainted clay eggs, pretty much looks okay right here. Cool light was coming in through the kitchen window from the north, so they have a tinge of blue to them!

But let’s make them a little bit more realistic by painting them white.

And our finished bird’s nest with eggs!

Now on to our “Japanese Garden” project. Satori painted these rocks all by herself, don’t they look real?

While we waited for the rocks and eggs to dry, we started our pine cone bird feeders. Very simple, here’s the supplies – peanut butter, bird seed, and of course pine cones!

Slather the peanut butter on the pinecones and then roll them in seed.

And then hang on a tree!

One of my new fave photos, just a little fun in Photoshop:

Satori is addicted to her journal. Here are the two American Idol finalists that are going home this week. She calls them Jasmine and Noop Dog, but for spoiler reasons (if you haven’t watched this episode yet), I will not say whether or not Satori was correct in her prediction.
