When we first started homeschooling last spring, we first converted our basement kitchen to be the room for all the learning. However, the lack of windows and the fact that it was in the basement, made it a bit gloomy. We moved on up to our airy, bright, carpeted loft and all is great. I then designated the kitchen as our “craft kitchen”.

I’m on a mission to make it more inspiring. I want to do more messy crafts with Satori, but need to feel more inspired in this room. The room has white, textured walls right now.

I want it  to be bright and cheery. But since it’s a kitchen, I don’t want it to saturated with color. I’m thinking of painting the walls a light yellow, and the far wall and inlaid upper wall a light blue. Will that make it look like there is some sun and cheery blue skies in the room?
