Alicia, yes, I would still start with RightStart A. It covers numbers in a way no other program does. If I were to do it again, I would take a look at Singapore Essential Math (K) too, and might do it concurrently.

Thank you for your amazing reviews/examples of your curriculum!! Your daughter is just precious! I am wondering about RS vs SM, if you don’t mind answering a question. My daughter will start K this summer, and I wonder if you would still start with RS, or would you start with Singapore? Thanks again!! Alicia

Kate, yep, you are right – AL stands for Activities for Learning. In fact, I see it’s the name of their company – Activities For Learning, Inc.

I plan on documenting a RightStart lesson every now and then, for the benefits of those who are interested in it. You can get a better picture if it might work for your family. I know that I’m super impressed, but then again, I have only one child to homeschool and have the time to embark on a creative program like this.

Thanks for posting about RightStart. Every time I look at the website, I think it’ll be perfect! I looked at in person at our homeschool conference and talked to the rep a bit. Can’t wait to start, but I want DS to be a little older first!
