Thanks for the info, I purchased some other books, but sent them back because I had hoped for realistic images. I am glad you posted about this. My girls are so interested in birds. Karen

Hi Robin! In my post, I detailed how to do it:
“To do this, I chose their 6×9 inch 2 pages per bird book. I printed out only the odd pages, set my printer to print out 4 pages per printed page, then printed out pages 4-85 (which left out the intro pages and the last few advertising pages).

We did the caterpillar thing last spring and can’t wait to do it again. I hear that growing the frogs is more of a commitment for us right now (they live several years), so we’ll just have to watch our local ponds for them.

I love the bird site…I tried it out and I like it. How did you get your bird cards to be smaller? There were options, but I guess I chose the wrong one! We are also growing tadpoles right now, and waiting for our caterpillars to form chrysalides. AND…my daughter (she’s 21) found two abandoned kittens that are maybe 2 weeks old…love nature!!!
