I think I am going through a math craze this summer. I have always wanted to try Miquon, and only recently gave MEP a decent look. Out of the too, I think I’m really liking MEP, but we’ll have to see how it goes…

We started MEP 1a and Miquon this month and are enjoying both. MEP is great for my big girl who craves more advanced concepts and less math fact drill. Hope Satori likes them!

I love how MEP focuses on the number line and inequalities in Year 1, which is different to the public school. I think it lays an early foundation for algebra and even mathematical modeling. I am using this summer to plough Year 1 and Year 2 worksheets with my rising 3rd graders.
