Greetings. I'll have to explore your site earlier next evening, it's past my "bedtime." So, with bleary eyes, I get right to the point and ask you if you know of a list of the Five In A Row books arranged chronologically for the Classical 4 year cycle? I have a booklist of Sonlight books arranged this way, but the author of that list appears to have disbanded their website (NikkisBookNook.com , 2003). I like your site. Satori is one blessed little girl! Good night. Alison

I've enjoyed reading many posts on your blog. I love looking at other people's reading lists, so I particularly liked this post. I have twins, boy and girl, who are three and a half. We will be unschooling. We LOVE to read here, and like your daughter, they can sit still for an amazingly love time for read-alouds. About six months ago, I tried longer novels and chapter books with them after they had really gotten into long picture books, and now we've read quite a few.

Our chapter/novel list so far has been: Wizard of Oz (LOVED IT!), Fantastic Mr. Fox, currently reading George and the Marvelous Medicine by Roald Dahl(my son LOVES this book), My Father's Dragon, Stuart Little, Charlotte's Web (a big favorite), a A Good Night for Ghosts (a Magic Treehouse book, and a Cam Jansen mystery. I think we'll do James and the Giant Peach next and then Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I look forward to reading more posts. Thanks for sharing what you do in your homeschooling.

Oooh! Having been an elementary teacher, and since literacy is a hobby of mine, I know most good books for kids. I haven't even heard of two of these! Great site! It is now bookmarked on my computer.

Our styles in homeschooling seem similar. I'd love to read about the kind of scheduling you use. We don't really stick to a schedule around here, but we LOVE to have schedules as a base to work with! Right now I'm having trouble with ours....
