lakeshoreAfter a 1.5 hour car trip to Littleton, Colorado, we made it to Lakeshore Learning store! Wow, this store is heaven for anyone interested in homeschooling, crafts, dramatic play, etc.. for their little ones. Not just for teachers, we had a blast here! There’s also a teacher store here in Boulder, Colorado, but it is boring compared to Lakeshore Learning. You can also shop online at:

I hope my obsession with stocking the perfect schoolroom with craft/learning supplies for preschoolers has now come to an end. Or has it just begun? (EDIT 2 YEARS LATER: ROFL, come to an end, right)

Here’s one game we had fun with last night, I just *knew* she’d get a kick out of her colorful “gems”. “Gems in a Treasure Chest ” is a counting game suitable for ages 3+. Unfortunately, just out of the box it was a bit too easy for Satori, age 4, as she definitely knows how to count up to 3, but I’m sure we can find a way to make it more of a challenge. 🙂

Satori and I checked out a new eco-friendly store in downtown Boulder today – Ellie’s Eco Home store, from their website:  “The one-stop shop for healthy, sustainable, recycled and eco friendly products for the family or office environment.” Being an environmentally-conscious family, I loved browsing this store! And thanks to my Ken, Kim and Peyton (my brother’s family), we had a gift certificate to spend! Satori got a wooden zoo animal set, and mama got some plates (recycled) and napkins. For those of you in the know, the zoo set is CPSIA friendly. 🙂 Can’t wait to visit again!
